Six Steps to Downloading a YouTube Video

1. Find the video on the video site.

2. Copy the URL.

3. Go to a video downloader site like http://clipnabber.com/

4. Paste the URL in the space provided.
(make sure that you have the correct video site selected in the "Choose from list to view examples and instructions:" menu)

5. Click the "Nab It" button.

6. Right Click on "FLV Download Link";
Select "Save Link As"
Rename the file "somename.flv" VERY IMPORTANT STEP
Save

And that is that.

You now have a FLV (flash video) video.
This is the format that is best for embedding into Moodle resources.
BUT you don't need Moodle to view the video....
To view your FLV file in the classroom you can either play it directly using a FLV viewer or you can convert it to another format that will play in Windows Media Player.
