Feedback rather than Questionnaire!
by Anton Coltham Tchr - Thursday, 2 July 2009, 02:49 PM

Teachers, please use the Feedback activity from now. We are spoilt on WeLCom in that we have two activities for doing surveys, but we have found a few problems in the Questionnaire activity. We have decided not to do anymore maintenance on it (due to costs). The Feedback activity does the same job and is going to be part of Moodle core in the next Moodle update, so is definitely the way to go.
You can still use the Questionnaire, but just be aware that results can't be filtered by group and the printing feature is suspect (however you can still print using the browser's print menu)

Round 3 Voucher Winners
by Anton Coltham Tchr - Friday, 5 June 2009, 01:25 PM

Well done to following winners of the $20 Vouchers, won for their participation in the Maths Challenge (Mathemoodlics)

Lucky Draw for a student from the leading* school (criteria for this round being participation) :
Sadie Ruckman (Tararua College)

Diligence Award for Excellent Effort : There was a joint award which went to two Solway College students :
Hannah Percy and Kiriana Welsh-Phillips (Both will receive $20 Vouchers)

And the lucky teacher for this round is Leigh Kube (Solway College) - apart from the heaps of nominations from students (and a teacher), Leigh is doing amazing things with his Moodle courses - exploring and using every feature available. At the moment podcasting is on top of his list - so watch this space - there will be a tutorial course for others interested in following his lead.

Nominate your Teacher
by Anton Coltham Tchr - Wednesday, 29 April 2009, 12:38 PM

Clcik to go to the nomination formEach month one teacher, using the WeLCom site as part of their teaching, gets a special reward in the form of a gift voucher.

You can help choosing the lucky person by nominating your teacher for the monthly draw.

So if your teacher is doing something you really like on the WeLCom site, let us know. We will have a look and who knows - your teacher might be the next lucky winner. The next draw is on the last day of this term.

The entry will be anonymous, however you can give your name if you wish.
(Hey - so teachers, you can nominate yourselves smile )

Nomination form: Nominate your teacher

Note to teachers: Add the Feedback block to your course - it will automatically link to any Feedback activity added to the main page. Try it.

Note to students: So you also want to win something? Take part in Mathemoodlics - open to anyone and there are two $20 vouchers up for grabs twice a term.
